Slipper the Penguin: Helping Kids Understand Neurodivergence

Dr. Amy is a psychologist who specializes in neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care, as well as diagnosing ADHD and autism. She was identified as neurodivergent as an adult, after she had spent years supporting clients without realizing that she was a member of the community.

Dr. Amy is an educator, author, speaker, and advocate.

Abby Lastowski, she/her, is a queer published illustrator and comics creator responsible for the Actually Owltistic webcomic series about autistic, queer owls. She was diagnosed autistic and ADHD as an adult woman at age 28, and she tries to use her illustrations to help bring understanding and support to many people who may wonder why they feel the way they feel, whether or not they have received a diagnosis on paper.
